Amediy is one of the oldest  and famous cities in Kurdistan. It was found in the 3000BC . Amediy is more like a castle or a city on the mountain and is between two mountain in the north is the Metin Muontain and in the south is the Gare mountain. Amediy was known as the capital of Behdenan. Amediy is a city on the mountain.  In the past the only ways to get there the east door or the the Barzan door and the other door was the West door or Musel door or the Seqava door they named it Seqava becuase was the door to get water to Amediy. Amediy have wells in it, those wells were diffrent they was adding water to it the water from the rian and snow and they also brought the water from a place higher than Amediy it was called Zewke and that was coming to those wells the water they use it for swimming pool, and their was a cave by that pool they use to relax in it and they use it in wars they couldn't go out of Amediy to get it so they never lost in any wars. There is more archeaology places in Amediy by the Seqava door there was man made of rocks showing he is storng the is the simple for Amediy people that they are strong and Amediy people like to learn and like science and discover stuff the first school in Amediy was called Kubat that school was under Amediy not on the mountain because when Amediy was at the war the other students from other cities they couldn't go to school if it was on the mountain so they build it under Amediy. In this  school they used to study religion, science, math and more many students from that school became scientests. Kubat was one of the biggest schools in Kurdistan and that school is not there any more the Iraqi goverment destroied and they destroy many other archeaoloy places the Kubat name is still a school but on the mountain they kind of move it to there. Amediy was famouse for trading it was a trading market all the goods from Cities. Towns and Villages close to Amediy they brought their goods to Amediy. Amediy is the famous for Tahin in Amediy they make the best Tahin in kurdistan and also was famous for Giz and Kezan. Silav in  Amediy is a waterfall and spring water and forest that is so beautiful and many people like to visit it in the summer.                                                                                              By Delovan Amedi
